Welcome to The Bookmarked Baking Company! We’re a small home-based and woman-owned bakery in the suburbs of Tampa, FL. Our specialty is “bookish” baked goods, but someday we aspire to be a full-fledged café and bookstore. These "bookish" baked goods are inspired by our favorite series', characters, and literary themes or tropes. To compliment these, we also offer what we call: “coffee companions." These are small cookies, scones, and similar treats meant to be enjoyed with coffee (or your hot drink of preference) and your favorite book or current read.

We want to bring readers together through the magic of stories and sweets. We want you to get excited when you spot your favorite character or book reimagined as a shortbread, scone, or treat fresh from our oven. This is a place to fangirl freely, swap book recommendations, gush about plot twists, and savor pastries inspired by the worlds you adore. Every bite is crafted to celebrate the joy of reading — and to connect book lovers, one novel treat at a time.

You may have noticed we previously operated under the name The Dog Ear Baking Company. We changed it in August of 2026 to better reflect our brand and vibe. We still love that old name and hold it in our hearts but we hope this new name is easier to identify with and leads to less confusion.
